Food The food here is surprisingly authentic. I would definitely order the daikon rice cakes and pork belly again. I wouldn't compare this place to your average Vietnamese restaurants. Slanted Door feels (and tastes) like upscale, Asian-fusion. Chef Charles Phan is ethnically Chinese, but born and raised in Vietnam. His food definitely has other Asian influences so every dish is different and unique. The flavors are spot on. They also have a very nice wine selection. I would definitely revisit...
Bartender/Staff Awesome. They know exactly what's up. We hung out with Tim and Francisco and they showed us a great time, which is what eating at the bar is all about. Tim knew the city and the neighborhood very well. Francisco has a great knowledge of tequilas and gave us a nice little tasting.
Attitude Great. The bar wasn't too crowded, but many of those who were there were having dinner. No reservations required, we walked straight to the bar, sat down and had our food within 20 minutes. The restaurant seemed a bit large and noisy, but the bar was perfect.
Scene Somewhat touristy, but the bar wasn't bad. It is a fairly large bar and there weren't a lot of people "hanging around," but then again...we were there on a Tuesday night and just chatted mostly with the bartenders. It definitely seems like it would get a good hip, upscale crowd on weekends.
Get Lucky Factor Lots of potential on weekends. Weekdays seem to attract a small after-work crowd, but I'm sure if you hang around long enough and you're bound to make some new friends here...and friends with good taste too.

Jordan Retro 5 Payton said he suspects there will be moments this fall when he's watching the Saints and struggles with the fact that he cannot be with the club, but said those feelings won't overwhelm him because of the enjoyment he'll get from being with Connor and teenage daughter Meghan. cheap jordan 11
