| Food | Great place to have a steak and a classic caesar salad (prepared to order tableside.) If you're looking for the best steak in town, this isn't it, but it's a fun atmosphere with high-quality food. The truffled cheese fries are mouth-watering and if you don't eat red meat, there's a decent selection of fresh seafood. My favorite steak is the Kansas City Bone-In, and the goat cheese baklava is one of the most amazing things I've ever tasted. Boa has a fantastic selection of wines including apertifs and dessert wines. |
| Bartender/Staff | The staff's great. They're very attentive and accustomed to bar diners and really know their wines! Make sure to say 'hi' to Charlotte if you're in over the weekend - one of the best bartenders in town. |
| Attitude | Boa belongs to a group of restaurants owned by Innovative Dining Group, so it does have a corporate feel to it. The management's a bit uptight about the drink pours - they have those little shot measures. I also hate places where they don't allow the bartenders to drink... |
| Scene | Depends on the night. There's a surprising local scene on weekdays, but weekends are a madhouse of the too cool and trendy. The decor is upscale, sharp and modern. Sundays are fun with all their bottles of wine half-priced. |
| Get Lucky Factor | Probably higher on weekends than on weekdays. Boa's bar attracts a lot of couples and an older, after-work crowd. Other than Friday and Saturday, there tends to be more men than women at the bar. |
